What song makes you cry?

=== Q: What's a song that makes you cry? A : "She used to be mine" by Sara Bareilles. Even when you see people cover it, it still gets to me. The point of view in the song is that she's looking at herself as a broken person." - https://www.tiktok.com/@mikebirbiglia/video/7242848540517535022?_r=1&_t=8d3P4y2hq5u   She Used to Be Mine by Sara Bareilles It's not simple to say Most days I don't recognize me These shoes and this apron That place and its patrons Have taken more than I gave 'em It's not easy to know I'm not anything like I used to be Although it's true I was never attention sweet center I still remember that girl She's imperfect but she tries She is good but she lies She is hard on herself She is broken and won't ask for help She is messy but she's kind She is lonely most of the time She is all of this mixed up And baked in a beautiful pie She is gone but she used to be mine It's not what I asked for Sometime...

James Acaster Talks About His Teenage Existential Crisis

James Acaster discusses his teenage existential crisis resulting from a car accident, causing him to question the meaning of life and become suicidal. Raised Christian but no longer practicing, he sought guidance from a vicar who failed to acknowledge the weight of the situation. After reading a handbook on CBT and speaking with a counselor, James learned to reframe his perspective and find comfort in spending time with loved ones. He also speaks about his parents' approach to Christianity, presented as faith rather than forced, and how his father, a science teacher, taught them about evolution. Latrogenesis

"We use amphetamines to conveniently modify the behaviour of bored boys because we're too stupid to construct our education systems in a manner that doesn't drive them mad. Hyperactivity is an iatrogenic disease created by schools. Boys should play way more than they do. They should play to the point of exhaustion in some sense every day. They'll quit when they've had enough. I bet your hyperactive son has no trouble paying attention when he's playing video games... that's worth thinking about." -  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TeRh7l2zZnk "Iatrogenesis is the causation of a disease, a harmful complication, or other ill effect by any medical activity, including diagnosis, intervention, error, or negligence. First used in this sense in 1924, the term was introduced to sociology in 1976 by Ivan Illich, alleging that industrialized societies impair quality of life by overmedicalizing life. Iatrogenesis may thus include mental suffering via medical...

Finally, the speakers discuss the complexity of defining sex based on physical characteristics and its consequences in different areas of life. In a conversation about the trans debate, Helen Joyce argues that authorities are failing to protect trans people by inciting violence against them, and she disputes the notion that there have always been trans p...

Game Ethics

I was drawn back to the old TV episode "A Taste of Armageddon" from Star Trek because it demonstrates a situation when gaming crosses a contradictory boundary. Games are supposed to be a way of safely learning and preparing for the dangers of reality... but when the game begins to present a real threat to people's safety, the ethics of it have been broken. This TV episode uses a science fantasy premise to convey this message... but that is not needed to see it in action because the professional sports world has been based on this same premise for as long as it has been bundled with economics. Games have a direct affect on the real quality of life of the athletes within it... to a degree where it can cause genuine hardship and harm. This goes directly against the purpose of games. "Death, destruction, disease, horror. That's what war is all about. That's what makes it a thing to be avoided. You've made it neat and painless. So neat and painless, you've...
