Purpose & Meaning

  This weekend I came across three things that are interconnected which relate to the thing I am most focused on finding a solution to. 1. The New York Times released a piece about how science is showing that there is a significant change in the concept of happiness… a “ collapse ” of it in people at the beginning of their lives. Why Religion Helps People Some people are good at thinking deeply about life. They can figure out their own ideas about right and wrong, and what makes life meaningful. But most people don’t have the time, energy, or training to do that all on their own. That’s where religion comes in. For a long time—thousands of years—people got married, raised families, and went to church. These habits didn’t happen by accident. They helped people live better, more stable lives.
